The Fjallabaksleið syðri is a highland road in the south of Iceland .

The Ljótarstaðavegur T210branches off to the west from Skaftártunguvegur T208. The 108 km long F road begins at Snæbýli farm in Skaftárhreppur municipality . The name means Southern Way Behind the Mountains in Icelandic . There is also a Fjallabaksleið nyrðri LF208 , to which there is a connection through the Álftavatnskrókur LF233. The mountain range is Mýrdalsjökull . There are huts along the way in Hvanngil and Álftavatn. Fjallabaksleið syðri ends at Rangárvallavegur T264in the municipality of Rangárþing ytra , which begins and ends on the ring road between Hvolsvöllur and Hella .

Like all Fjallvegir , these roads are closed in winter. It LF210has been reopened between June 30th and July 23rd in recent years.
