Stracholissja ( Ukrainian Страхолісся ; Russian Страхолесье Stracholesje ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Kiev Oblast with about 700 inhabitants (2012).
Stracholissja is located in Ivankiv district on the right bank of the Dnepr , which is dammed up to the Kiev Sea , near the mouth of the Teteriv and on the border with the Chernobyl exclusion zone . The district center Ivankiw is 45 km southwest and the capital Kiev is about 120 km south of the village. The village, founded around 1400, was called Selenyj Mys between 1986 and 1989. The village of Medwyn ( Медвин ⊙ ) with about 30 inhabitants also belongs to the district council of Stracholissja .
