Striker is a Canadian heavy , speed and thrash metal band from Edmonton that was formed in 2007.

history

The band was formed in 2007 by guitarist Ian Sandercock and singer Dan Cleary. In the summer of 2008 the line-up was completed and the EP Road Warrior followed on Iron Kodex Records . The release was followed by a tour through Europe, including appearances on the German Keep It True and the Spanish Pounding Metal in spring 2010. The tour had to be canceled due to volcanic activity. From this incident the later song Fuck Volcanoes was born . Her debut album Eyes in the Night was released in the same year . The band performed with bands like Sacrifice , 3 Inches of Blood , Raven and Sodom . In 2010 the band toured Canada as well. In early 2011, a tour of Europe followed, which included an appearance on the Metal Assault . In 2012, their next album was Armed to the Teeth .

style

The band is based on classic heavy, speed and thrash metal of the 1980s and is compared with groups such as Enforcer , RAM , In Solitude , High Spirits , Züül and White Wizzard .
