The Stuyahok River is an approximately 110 km long left tributary of the Mulchatna River in southwestern Alaska .

Its headwaters are located in a range of hills 25 km north of Iliamna Lake at an altitude of 350  m . The Stuyahok River initially flows in a tight arc to the southeast, then to the southwest, and finally to the west. In the lower reaches it flows in a north-northwest direction to the Mulchatna River, into which it flows 55 km northeast of New Stuyahok . In the lower reaches, on the lower 45 kilometers, the river has numerous bends and oxbow lakes . The river repeatedly splits into two arms, which later reunite. The approximately 710 km² catchment area reaches heights of only 750 m and is free of glaciers . Accordingly, the maximum monthly outflows occur as early as May. The mean discharge near the mouth is 14 m³ / s.
