Styles P. (born November 28, 1974 in Queens , New York ; real name David Styles ) is an American rapper . He is a member of the D-Block group .

Career

Styles P. was born in Queens , but grew up in Yonkers with Jadakiss and Sheek Louch . With these two he founded the rap group The LOX in 1994 . After J-Hood joined the crew, they called themselves D-Block from then on . After two albums as part of the group he began his solo career in 2002 with the release of his debut album A Gangster And A Gentleman , under the stage name Styles appeared and the gold record the RIAA received. He subsequently collaborated with Jadakiss with Jennifer Lopez on her single Jenny From The Block , with Akon on his single Locked Up and on Can You Believe It , a single for Style P's second album Time Is Money . The next album followed in 2007 with Super Gangster (Extraordinary Gentleman) .
