The Sudoměřický potok is a right tributary of the Morávka in the Czech Republic and Slovakia .
geography
The Sudoměřický potok rises on the northwest slope of the Tlstá hora ( 556 m ) or north of the Čupy ( 574 m ) on the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the White Carpathians . The course of the Grenzbach leads to the northwest via Mlýnky, where it is dammed in the Mlýnky reservoir of the same name. At Sudoměřice the brook reaches the Dolnomoravský úval ( southern March basin ) and finally flows three kilometers north of Skalica into the Morávka.
The Sudoměřický potok has a length of 13.8 km, its catchment area is 30.1 km².
The Šmatlavé uhlisko nature reserve is located at the upper reaches of the stream on the Slovak side. In the White Carpathians, the Sudoměřický potok valley forms the state border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Below the Mlýnky reservoir, the meandering stream runs alternately on Czech and Slovak territory. After entering the Dolnomoravský úval above Sudoměřice, the course of the Sudoměřický potok runs parallel to the border through the territory of the Czech Republic.
