The Suhihandia is a river in France that runs in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name Ebasuneko Erreka near the hamlet of Piapotenea , in the western municipality of Hasparren , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and after around 21 kilometers flows into the Joyeuse as a left tributary in the municipality of Urt , which is sometimes also referred to as the Aran . In its lower reaches, the Suhihandia is accompanied by the A64 motorway .
