Sukuta is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, about 1491 inhabitants live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 1109.
geography
Sukuta, in the Central River Region in the Niani District on the northern bank of the Gambia River, is located about eight kilometers southwest of the North Bank Road , an important highway from the Gambia. Sukuta is on a road that leads southwest to Barajally .
Culture and sights
At Sukuta, an isolated menhir, part of the Senegambian stone circles , is known as a place of worship .
