economy
Along the coast, between the Moa and the Mano , there are several beaches that are also used for tourism.
Sulima is to be established as an important location for the Chinese mining company China Kingho since 2014. Among other things, a railway line is to be built to the mining areas around Tonkolili (status 2013). A smelting plant , a deep-sea port , a hydropower plant and an industrial park are also planned (as of 2014). The projects were not implemented after the company withdrew from Sierra Leone in late 2018.
