The Southern Province ( German about Southern Province ) comprises the southwest of the West African state of Sierra Leone . It has 1,441,308 inhabitants (as of 2015) and an area of 19,694 square kilometers .
The Southern Province comprises the four districts of Bo , Bonthe , Moyamba and Pujehun and is further subdivided into 52 chiefdoms . Provincial capital is Bo .
