The Western Area Urban is an administrative unit (district) in the Republic of Sierra Leone . Together with the Western Area Rural, it forms the Western Area , one of four administrative regions in the country. The area of ​​the Western Area Urban corresponds to that of the capital Freetown .

With an area of ​​13 square kilometers and more than 1,055,000 inhabitants (as of 2015), it is the smallest and most densely populated district in the country.
