The Sullivan Heights are a dense group of mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . They rise 18.5 km east-northeast of Mount Tyree in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains . The mountain range is roughly elliptical in shape and extends over a length of 17.5 km. Sharp mountain peaks, rugged ridges and steep slopes between the Crosswell , Ellen and Dater glaciers include Mount Levack , Mount Farrell and Mount Segers .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain range in 1997 after the American oceanographer Cornelius Wayne Sullivan (* 1943), who led several research campaigns in McMurdo Sound and the Weddell Sea for the United States Antarctic Program in the 1980s and from 1993 until 1997 chaired the National Science Foundation's polar program .
