Summer Bishil

Summer Bishil (* 17th July 1988 in Pasadena , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Bishil was born in Pasadena in 1988 to an Indian father and an American-Mexican mother. From the early 1990s she lived with her family for a short time in Saudi Arabia and later in Bahrain. The family returned to California in the early 2000s.

She took on her first leading role in 2007 in the controversially discussed Blunt - Nothing is Private , directed by Alan Ball . Bishil took on the role of 13-year-old Jasira Maroun , an American of Lebanese origin who discovered her sexuality. The role is considered her breakthrough in Hollywood.

Your next major role followed in 2009 Crossing Over alongside Harrison Ford , Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd . In M. Night Shyamalan's fantasy film The Legend of Aang , Bishil took on the role of Azula in 2010 .

Since 2015 she can be seen in the role of Margo Hanson in the Syfy series The Magicians .
