The swamp hole ditch rises at a height of 214  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau west of the Rumbergskopf in the northern part of the approximately 120 hectare nature reserve Königsbruch . It flows in a north-westerly direction through a floodplain landscape and finally flows directly to the boundary between Rumbach and Fischbach bei Dahn, south of the Kleiner Roßberg, at an altitude of 213  m above sea level.
