Sunday Eboh

Sunday Eboh (* 1957 ) is a retired Nigerian table tennis player . He became African champion in 1980 and took part in three world championships . Since 1987 he played for several German clubs.

Career

Sunday Eboh's first international successes were known in 1978 when he finished first in doubles with Kasali Lasisi and with the team at the 1978 African Games . In mixed with Ethel Jacks, he reached the final. In 1980 he became African champion in singles, doubles with Francis Sule and mixed with Kuye Mojisola and with the Nigerian men's team. In 1979 , 1981 and 1983 he was nominated for world championships, but never came close to medal ranks. At the World Cups in 1981 and 1983 he came in 13th. In 1982 he won the Commonwealth Championships in doubles with Atanda Musa .

In 1987 Sunday Eboh was signed by the German club TVB Nassau, which was then playing in the regional league. With Eboh in 1988 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1994 he left Nassau for Münster. From 1996 to 1998 he played with LTV Lippstadt in the regional league, and in the early 2000s until 2002 with SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen in the association league.
