Sunny Domestozs is a German psychobilly band from Münster .
history
The idea of founding the band came from guitarist Peter Hajunga alias " Tex Morton " and singer and standing drummer Oswald "Ossi" Carlos Münnig (among other things founder and operator of Grover Records ) at the end of 1984. The band name, which is also the frontman's nickname, derives from Unilever cleaning products Domestos from. When a bass player was found in Manfred Brasa alias "Manni Feinbein", the band was founded in January 1985.
In October of the founding year, Götz Alsmann 's debut album Barkin 'at the Moon was released on the Osnabrück record label Drinkin' Lonesome, on which Alsmann played the organ for a few songs. The initial edition sold out quickly, the band played several times and a small edition of the LP on blue vinyl was added. In February 1986 the Briton Lloyd Tripp played the bass instead . Also in 1986 Jennilee Lewis joined the band as a permanent organist. In the summer of 1986, the mini-LP Get Ready for the Getready was recorded, which includes cover versions of the songs Get Ready and Wild Man . The other three titles are in-house productions. In 1987 Tim Buktu produced the EP Playin 'Favorites, Sunny Domestozs ' last record for the time being. After Tex Morton left the band in 1988, the musician Teddy Conetti replaced him on guitar. After further live performances, the band gave their last concert for the time being in January 1990 in the Odeon in Münster.
In summer 2005 the band decided to play and perform together again. The first appearance took place in February 2006 at the Wildcat Weekend in Essen.
