The 2006/07 season was the seventh season of the Suomi-sarja as the third highest Finnish ice hockey division .

mode

In the main round, the league was divided into two groups with ten and seven teams, respectively, based on regional criteria. Each team played 36 games in the main round. The four best-placed teams in each group qualified for the playoffs, the two semi-final winners in turn qualified for the promotion round to the second-rate Mestis . Due to the increase in Suomi-sarja for the following season, there was no relegation.

Each team received two points for a win after regular time and after extra time, one point for a tie and defeat after extra time and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
