Susan M. Ivey (born October 31, 1958 in Schenectady , New York ) is an American business manager and was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Reynolds American holding from 2004 to 2011 .

Life

After attending school, Susan Hickok first studied at the University of Florida and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science (BS). She then completed a postgraduate course in management at Bellarmine University in Kentucky in 1984 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

In addition, she began her professional career at the tobacco company Brown & Williamson as early as 1981 , where she was, among other things, Director of Marketing in China , before, after working as Head of International Brands at the cigarette manufacturer British American Tobacco, she was Senior Vice-President for the all marketing of the Brown & Williamson concern was. After serving as President and CEO of Brown & Williamson from 2001 to 2004, she joined Reynolds American in 2004 and has been President and CEO since then.
