Susanna Porela-Tiihonen (born August 22, 1987 ) is a Finnish biathlete .

Susanna Porela-Tiihonen has been competing in the Junior World Championships in biathlon since 2005. After she could not achieve any significant results in Kontiolahti in 2005, she ran in Presque Isle in 2006 in 18th place in the sprint and was sixth with the Finnish relay, which also included Mari Laukkanen and Annu Humalajoki. Also in 2007 in Martell she was able to achieve good results as 17th in the individual, 15th in the sprint, 19th in the pursuit and fifth in the relay (with Laukkanen and Pinja Piira). The good results earned her a nomination for the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz , where Porela-Tiihonen was used in three races. In the sprint she was 72nd in the individual 62nd with the season 12. In Lahti , the young Finn made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup as 61st in the individual . The 2007 Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepää were also successful for Porela-Tiihonen. In the sprint competition with roller skis, she finished fifth. Further good results followed in the 2007/08 winter season . Although she did not achieve any notable results in the World Cup appearances at the beginning of the season, the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding were very successful. In the sprint race, the Finns just missed a medal in fourth, and eighth in the sprint. The 2008 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund were also quite successful for the young athlete. In the individual she was 68, but in the sprint 52, which meant the best World Cup result so far and the qualification for the pursuit, in which she was however lapped by the winner Andrea Henkel . With the season of Finland there was also a 15th place.

Since her marriage in 2011, Susanna Porela has been running under the double name Porela-Tiihonen.
