Susanne Georgi

Susanne Georgi (* 27 July 1976 as Susanne Jonah Lynn Georgi ) is a Danish singer . She has lived in the small Pyrenees state of Andorra for 13 years now .

Career

"Super-Sisters" and "Me & My"

Together with her sister Pernille , she first founded the duo SuPer-Sisters ("Su" for Susanne, "Per" for Pernille). Together they wanted to take part in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark . However, the rules of participation stipulated that the performers must be at least 16 years old. But Susanne was only 15.

Between 1995 and 2007 Me & My released four albums and reached eighth place in the Danish charts with Fly high .

In 2007 they also took part in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix , the Danish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . With Two are stronger than one , which was the favorite of the betting offices, they only reached 6th place

Eurovision Song Contest 2009

In 2009 she took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for her new home Andorra . Her title Get a life was selected by a jury as one of three preliminary entries. However, since all titles had to be sung in Catalan , their title was translated into Catalan and is now called La teva desició , in German : Your decision .

In the actual preliminary decision, Passaport a Moscou , Georgi was able to clearly qualify for Moscow with 47% of the jury and 66% of the televoting votes . Georgi was eliminated in the first semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
