Susanne Ring

Susanne Ring (* 1966 in Mainz ) is a German painter and sculptor.

life and work

Ring studied in Berlin from 1989 to 1996 at the Hochschule der Künste (today University of the Arts Berlin ) with Dieter Appelt and Christiane Möbus with the title of master class student . From 2003 to 2009 she was artistic assistant in the faculty of design at the Bauhaus University Weimar and was the artistic director of the art course. From 2009 to 2011 she held a substitute professorship for ceramics at the Dresden University of Fine Arts . From 2009 to 2015, she held various teaching positions at the University of the Arts in Berlin, the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle , and the Art University Linz at the University of Potsdam . In 2014 she received a Master of Arts degree from the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. From 2017 to 2018 she was an academic assistant in the teaching post at the University of Potsdam and in 2018 received a professorship for art and aesthetics in social and educational fields with a focus on visual arts at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences .
