Susanne Schmidt-Knaebel

Susanne Schmidt-Knaebel (* 1937 in Kiel ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1957, she studied Romance and German at the Universities of Kiel , Innsbruck , Lausanne and Freiburg. After the 1st state examination for the higher education service in 1963, the 2nd state examination in 1965, the doctorate in 1970 and the scientific assistant , she was from 1970 study assessor in the university service at the Institute for German Language and Literature at the University of Cologne . In 1971 she became Senior Scientific Councilor at the Germanic Seminar at the University of Hamburg . After her habilitation in 1980 ( venia legendi for the subject of German language and literature), she taught from 1982 to 2003 as a professor of German linguistics in Hamburg .

Her main research interests are patholinguistics (speech loss research), specifically schizophrenic language, dialog-linguistic studies on psychotherapeutic conversations, text linguistics of simple literary forms according to André Jolles (fairy tales, sagas and legends) and special research on intertextuality (= internal networking) in Ludwig Bechstein's narrative work .
