Sutom (German Suttom ) is one of the nine districts of Třebenice in the Czech Republic . It has 34 houses and 45 residents (2001).
geography
Sutom is located six kilometers west of Lovosice and three kilometers northwest of Třebenice. It is located on the western slope of the Sutomský vrch ( Suttom Mountain , 505 m) and above the Holý vrch ( Kahler Mountain , 446 m).
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1276. The most important sight of Sutom is the church of Peter and Paul, visible from afar, at the upper end of the village, it was first mentioned in the 14th century. The baroque appearance of the church was created between 1716 and 1724. The renovation is attributed to the architect Octavio Broggio . The church has a wooden bell tower from the 18th century, which was rebuilt in the 19th century.
