The GSX-R600 is a super sports motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki .

The GSX-R600 is an indirect descendant of the GSX-R 750 , with which it is technically largely identical. While the mixture preparation in the first model series (1997 to 2000) was carried out with carburetors , from the second generation onwards, Suzuki relied on electronic manifold injection .

The motorcycle is powered by a short-stroke, liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine with four-valve technology. The valve is controlled via a control chain, two overhead camshafts and bucket tappets. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a multi-disc oil bath clutch , a 6-speed gearbox and an O-ring chain.

The chassis consists of a light metal bridge frame, an upside-down fork (from model year 2004, before that telescopic fork) with 41 mm sliding tubes, a light metal two-arm swing arm and a mono strut. The telescopic fork and spring strut can be adjusted in terms of spring base, compression and rebound damping.
