Sven Schmitt (born December 27, 1976 in Hanau ) is a German football goalkeeper . He has two Bundesliga , three second division and 169 third division appearances in the Regionalliga Süd .

Career

Sven Schmitt started playing football as a youth at TSV 1860 Hanau before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt's youth department in 1989 . The 1.86 meter tall Schmitt was a substitute goalkeeper for the first team of Eintracht from 1996 to 2001 before he got a regular place with the amateurs of Frankfurt . In 2003 he moved to the regional division 1. FC Eschborn , which he left three years later. After three months without a club, he signed a contract with SV Darmstadt 98 until 2007, after which he moved to the top division TSG Wörsdorf for a year .

For the 2008/09 season Schmitt moved to the Regionalliga Süd to Viktoria Aschaffenburg . With the club he was relegated to the Hessen League . In the winter of 2010 he joined the Hessen division FSV Fernwald , where he was the goalkeeper for the next four years.
