Svenja Hagenhoff

Svenja Hagenhoff (* 1971 in Münster ) is a German business IT specialist . It is the holder of the Chair of Book Studies with the working area media industry and applied technologies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

Life

After studying business administration at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , Svenja Hagenhoff worked there as a research assistant at Matthias Schumann's Institute for Information Systems . After completing her doctorate in 2001, she was head of the research group Convergent Markets in the Internet Economy. In 2007 she completed her habilitation in business administration and business informatics. From 2004 to 2005 she was a substitute professor for business informatics at the University of Hildesheim . From 2010 to 2011 she was the head of the Research Institute for Media Management at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences . In 2011 she was appointed to the professorship for book studies with a focus on electronic publishing and digital economy at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . Further teaching and research stays took her to universities in Lübeck, Los Angeles and Nanjing.

Act

Her authorship of the textbook Basic Questions in the Media Economy , which has already been published in several editions, the co-edition of the Göttingen writings on Internet research and as a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Mobile Communications show her importance as a scientist in her research area. For many years she was also the spokesperson for the collegial management of the department for media studies and art history at the university.
