Svitlana Azarova
Svitlana Azarova ( Ukrainian Світлана Анатоліївна Азарова Switlana Anatolijiwna Azarova , born January 9, 1976 in Ismajil , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian - Dutch composer of new music .
Life
After graduating from the Pedagogical Institute as a music teacher in 1996, she went to the Odessa Conservatory (now " Antonina W. Nezhdanova State Music Academy "). There she studied composition , first with Olexander Krasotov and later with Karmella Tsepkolenko until she graduated in 2000 .
In 2003 she received a six-month scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw with Marcin Blazewicz. In 2003 she was invited by the " Dresden Center for Contemporary Music " (DZzM, today "European Center for the Arts") to take part in a project as part of the Dresden Contemporary Music Days .
In 2005 she took part in the 9th International Academy for New Composition and Audio Art in Seefeld in Tyrol . The directors of this academy were Bogusław Schaeffer and Richard Boulanger . She then moved to the Netherlands and began postgraduate studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Theo Loevendie . She graduated with a Master of Music degree in December 2007.
