Swan 48 Snow Wolf at the 2011 Swan Europeans regatta in Cowes

Swan 48 is a series sailing yacht made by Nautor's Swan in Finland .

The Swan 48 consists of a polyester - laminate with glass / Aramid - hybrid fibers or if the race version of Vinylester -Laminate. The deck is a sandwich construction with a foam core.

The Swan 48 is available in two versions, a regatta version and a cruiser / racer. Both have an identical hull shape . The keel of the regatta version has a shorter base length and is deeper and slightly lighter than that of the cruiser / racer. The regatta version has a 7/8 rig as standard, while the cruiser / racer has a traditional top prig and roll-reef sail for pure cruising sailing . She is also equipped with the 15/16 rig with aft spreaders . The aft angled pulpit makes it easier to set an asymmetrical spinnaker, while the two-part cockpit provides a clear division for an active and passive area when cruising.

construction

Design and construction come from Germàn Frers and the Nautor design team

Facility

For the cruiser / racer version, two large double cabins are provided, both with toilet room and shower, alternatively it can also be selected with three cabins, which provides an owner's cabin aft, and two separate guest cabins in the foredeck, each with two berths arranged one above the other . Each cabin has access to the front toilet / shower room.
