The Swapa ( Russian Свапа, Свопа (Swopa)) is a right tributary of the Seim in the Russian oblasts of Oryol and Kursk .

The Swapa rises on the edge of the Central Russian Plate in the Oryol Oblast. It flows initially in a westerly direction, later in a south-south-west direction into the Kursk Oblast and finally flows into the Seim, a left tributary of the Desna, which flows westwards . The Dmitrijew-Lgowski Rajon administrative center is located on the river .

The Swapa has a length of 197 km. It drains an area of ​​4990 km². The Swapa is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge 75 km above the mouth is 16.7 m³ / s. The river freezes in November / December. The river usually becomes ice-free again in March / mid-April.
