Sweat (A La La La La Long) is a reggae - pop song can of Inner Circle in 1992. The song reached in 1992 in Germany and in Switzerland in first place in the charts. It appeared on the Bad to the Bone album .
history
More than a decade after their first chart successes and a few years after their last big hit with Bad Boys , Inner Circle had another big chart hit with Sweat . After the group settled in Miami , they had focused on reggae events in the United States. A deal with John Gray of Madhouse Publishing in Sweden brought the band to the attention of Mattias Wachtmeister, A&R man at Metronome Records . 1990-91 the group had great success with bad boys in the country's clubs. Also there was the 1986 album, Black Roses, an afterthought.
When Bad to the Bone was finally released in 1992 , the band was back in the USA and initially not available for promotion. That is why the label concentrated on traditional club and radio promotions. This made it possible to position Sweat as a summer hit. Initially, the focus was on the Mediterranean area, where many northern Europeans go on vacation. But in the first week of August 1992, MTV Europe picked up the video for Sweat , which quickly became a hit. At the same time, the band arrived in Europe for a tour that took them through the Netherlands , France , Switzerland , Austria and Germany . The song soon reached top chart positions, including number one in Germany.

Thom Duffy of Billboard Magazine called the piece the "hottest reggae pop hit right now" in October 1992. The "filtered pop" by Sweat was positioned as the "ideal summer song".
Music video
The video for Sweat shows Inner Circle on a beach, among other things dancing and partying with many female fans.

Cover version
The cover version of Mehrzad Marashi , the winner of the seventh season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar , is the second single from his album New Life . It was sung in a duet in 2010 with Mark Medlock , the winner of the fourth season of DSDS. During the show, Marashi sang the title in a duet with Menowin Fröhlich .

In the Philippines, the hit is used by the Bunawan Eco-Park and Wildlife Reservation Center as the " theme song " of the Lolong crocodile , the largest crocodile ever caught alive.

The song was covered by Izzy Bizu for a commercial for H&M in 2016 .

The video for the cover version from 2010 was shot on a 15 million euro yacht in the Mediterranean Sea off the island of Mallorca .
