Sweaty Santa is a German short film from 2014 written and directed by Christian Ricken and Moritz Rautenberg . The film was created in a cooperation between the University of Television and Film Munich and the production company Emerge & See Filmproduktion and it was also the prelude to the climate protection campaign “Let's start today”. The short film was also submitted to various short film competitions and was honored with a total of five prizes.

Christmas in the near future. Santa Claus is sweating terribly from the heat and only delivers his presents in too tight red swimming trunks! In the meantime, the children are waiting with milk and biscuits for their presents, which this year should rather lead to a terrible outcry.
But stop! We can't do this sight to our children - stop climate change now!
Awards
The short film won 1st place (gold) at the spotlight festival for moving image communication in the category Expert Jury Awards 2015 (web & mobile) and 2nd place (silver) in the category Audience Awards 2015 (web & mobile). At the Golden Award of Montreux (International Advertising & Multimedia Festival) there was 1st place (gold) in the Talent Award category and at the Porsche International Student Advertising Film Award 2015 again 1st place in the “Classic Category / Other Formats” category ".
At the Munich Film School Festival 2015, the film also won 1st place (gold) in the Climate Clip category.
The film won first place at the Rüsselsheim Film Festival .
