Sydoriw ( Ukrainian Сидорів ; Russian Сидоров Sidorow , Polish Sidorów ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast Ternopil with about 1100 inhabitants (2001).
In the village, which has been known since the second half of the 14th century (another source gives the year 1380), there are the ruins of the Sydoriw castle built in the 1640s by Marcin Kalinowski ( Сидорівський замок Sydoriwskyj samok ) and those built between 1726 and 1730 in the style the classic Baroque built Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary .
Sydoriw is the administrative center of the eponymous, 26.812 km² district council in the southeast of Hussjatyn Rajon , to which the village of Schydlivzi ( Шидлівці , ⊙ ) with about 240 inhabitants belongs.
The village is located at the mouth of the 17 km long Slobidka ( Слобідка ) in the Sbruch , 8 km south of the district center Hussjatyn and 86 km southeast of the oblast center Ternopil . Territorial road T – 20–02 runs north of the village .
