Sylan , Sylane or Sylene ( Norwegian ), Sylarna ( Swedish ), Bealjehkh ( South Sami ), (in German Die Dornen ), is a mountain range on the border between Norway and Sweden , in the provinces of Trøndelag and Jämtland County .

The centrally located mountain ridge, the Sylan massif, extends from Nordsylen in the north over the Lillsylen (1704 moh.) And the 1762 moh. highest mountain, the Storsylen , to the south to the Storsola (1728 moh.). Other peaks are the Bandaklumpen , the Slottet and the Tempelet . The mountain ridge is also a popular hiking route for experienced hikers.

There are several mountain huts in the area. The Norwegian Mountain Hiking Association maintains the Schulzhytta , Storerikvolle and Nedalshytta huts . On the Swedish side there are the huts Blåhammarens Fjällstation , Sylarnas Fjällstation and Fjällstuga Helags .
