Synagogue in Lomnice u Tišnova

The synagogue in Lomnice u Tišnova (German Lomnitz ), a minor town in the Okres Brno-venkov in the Czech Republic , was built in the 1790s. The derelict synagogue has been a protected cultural monument since 1988 .

history

The synagogue building, designed in the late Baroque style, replaced an older wooden prayer house. The interior is from a later time. In 1840 an organ was installed in the synagogue.

Todays use

The synagogue building has been extensively renovated and has served as a cultural center since 1997. At the opening, a memorial plaque dedicated to the victims of the Shoah was placed on the facade .
