Synchro film

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Synchro Film was an Austrian post production company based in Vienna - Neubau . The company, founded in 1989 by Alexander and Susanne Wieser, was the only one in Austria to cover all services in the fields of film, video, digital data and sound.

History and corporate philosophy

Synchro Film Video & Audio Processing GmbH was founded in October 1989. In the early 1990s, the company dealt with 3D animations (1989) and worked with the digital editing program Avid (1990). In 1991, the Cintel technology was used for tube scanning, seven years later 2K scans could be carried out with the Spirit and qualitative film recordings made with the Celco technology, which has proven itself in Hollywood . Synchro Film has already exposed larger cinema productions such as Sturmfrei by Hans Selikovsky or Inside America by director Barbara Eder .

In 1990, the installation of the Fiber Channel Network enabled the transmission of large amounts of data. The purchase of the Nucoda in 2004 enables 2K real-time color correction. From 2006, HD scanning became possible, which was replaced by the acquisition of the Scanity 2010, and so 2K and 4K scans of 35 mm and 16 mm films could also be implemented.

Alongside Listo Film , Synchro Film Video & Audio Verwaltung GmbH is Austria's only film copier and is active in post-processing and film copying for a large part of the film productions made in Austria. The focus of the company lies in the processing of national and international feature and documentary films as well as advertising films and television productions . Avant-garde filmmakers and international film schools are also among the company's customers.

In 2016 the company had to file for bankruptcy. 21 employees are affected.
