Deadly Prey 2 is an American action film directed by David A. Prior from 2013. He was also responsible for the script, editing and production. The film is the sequel to Deadly Prey from 1987.
action
After 27, Colonel Hogan is apparently released from custody and decides to take revenge on Michael Danton because he thwarted his plan at the time. For this purpose he hires mercenaries . The hunt for Danton is broadcast live on the Internet . But as it was almost 30 years ago, it switches off its opponents one after the other. Suddenly Hogan wakes up and realizes that he had only dreamed the events. Now he is actually released from prison and, despite the nightmare, decides to carry out his plan of revenge.
To this end, he has Danton kidnapped. But even in reality, Hogan's mercenaries are killed by this one. Hogan gets support from Thornton, whose twin brother was killed by Danton 27 years ago. That's why he seeks revenge. In order to have some leverage against Danton, Hogan has his wife and son kidnapped. When Danton has successfully fought his way out of the enemy base, he fled home.
There he finds Sophia, Hogan's girlfriend and right hand man. She informs him that his family has been kidnapped and is already at the base. Danton gets rid of the woman with an aimed head shot and makes his way back to the base. When he was able to free his family, he and his son fight their way out of the base. Towards the end of the film, his son supports him in his fight.
criticism

The film ironically copies various scenes known from the first part. Compared to its predecessor, the characters get more background information and the general film quality is perceived as improved. The predecessor is also parodied in many scenes .
Trivia
- David A. Prior can be seen in a supporting role.
- Fritz Matthews lost a good 20 kg for his role and embodies the twin brother of his former role from part one.
