The first ascent of the Törlkopf took place on August 3, 1904 by A. Langbein and O. Stroß.

location

The Törlkopf lies between the Törlschartl ( 3004  m above sea level ) in the south and the Schwarzen Törl ( 2941  m above sea level ) in the north, whereby the Törlschartl is the Törlkopf from the Rotenmannspitze ( 3077  m above sea level ) and the Schwarze Törl separates the Törlkopf from the Törlspitze ( 3,052  m above sea level ). West of the Törlspitze Törlbach falls into the Schwarzachtal of Schwarzach from the east of the mountain summit lies the Karbach, who in the Daberbach flows (Dabertal).

Promotion opportunities

The Törlkopf is described in the guide literature as a low rock elevation and is rarely visited by mountaineers. The normal route to the Törlkopf runs from the Törlschartl, which can be reached from the Schwarzasch Valley. The ascent takes place from the Oberhausalm over the Seebachalmen through the Schwarzachtal to the Törlbach and then along an almost forgotten path to the Törler Kreuz and on to the Törlschartl. From the Törlschartl, the Törlkopf is only a small elevation along the southeast ridge. The transition to the Törlspitze is easy from the Törlkopf. A variant to the Törlkopf is given by the ascent from the Neue Reichenberger Hütte .
