Türkiye Basketbol Ligi 2005/06

The 2005/06 TBL season was the 40th season of the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi . 16 teams, each of which played 30 games, took part. The eight best teams qualified for the playoffs. It was the first season with 16 teams. In previous years, 14 teams played against each other.

Ülkerspor became the Turkish basketball team for the last time. After the 2005/06 season, Ülkerspor merged with the Fenerbahçe Istanbul basketball team . Since then, the team has been called Fenerbahçe Ülker .
