The TCF Center is a multi-purpose hall in Detroit , Michigan, United States . With around 67,400 square meters of exhibition space, it is one of the largest event halls in the country.

Every year in the 2nd and 3rd week of January one of the most important automobile shows takes place here, the North American International Auto Show, or NAIAS for short . But other important and well-known trade fairs and concerts also take place there. From 1961 to 1978 the rotunda was u. a. the home of the Detroit Pistons from the NBA until they moved to the Pontiac Silverdome . The Detroit Derby Girls roller derby team is currently based in the hall.

In 2009 it was decided to renovate and expand for around 270 million US dollars . The construction project started in 2009 and was completed in three phases by 2015. A documentary film is now being shot through the Cobo Center.

In February 2019 it was announced that the Detroit-based Chemical Bank would be the namesake for 22 years . The Chemical Bank paid $ 1.5 million a year for this. After a successful merger of the bank with TCF Financial Corporation , the name changed to TCF Center .
