The electric railcars 1–5 of the Schmöckwitz – Grünauer Uferbahn (SGU) were a series of two-axle tram cars that were used from 1913 onwards. They received the type designation TF 13/26 from the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) .

development

A few months after its opening, the bank railway from Grünau (Mark) station to Schmöckwitz was electrified due to the large number of passengers. The three benzene railcars previously used found their new home at the Cuxhaven municipal railway . Since the delivery of new railcars was delayed, the SGU initially rented four Berolina cars from the Great Berlin Tram .

In 1913, Gottfried Lindner AG in Ammendorf finally delivered the new railcars. These were designed with two axles and chassis and had closed entry platforms with end entrances . The current was drawn via lyra bar .

In 1925, as part of the takeover of SGU, the railcars went to the Berliner Straßenbahn-Betriebs-Gesellschaft , which sorted them under the numbers 4351–4355. In 1926, the conversion of the car began. The four side windows between the entrances were replaced by eight smaller ones, the platforms were adapted to the Berlin standard platforms and the lyre bars were replaced by pantographs . The line number and destination sign boxes on the roofs were modeled on those of type T 24 . Since car 4351 was probably withdrawn from service after an accident in 1926, it was not included in the conversion program. In 1934 the remaining vehicles were given the designation TF 13/26.

Car 4353 and car 4355 were not rebuilt after war damage . Cars 4352 and 4354 remained in East Berlin after the BVG was separated , where they continued to run until 1955. They were then handed over to Dessau , where they were numbered 23 and 24. There they were retired in 1960 and finally scrapped. No vehicle has survived from the five former railcars.
