Football department

From 2003 to 2017, the TSV Wankendorf men's team played, with one exception, in the second-highest Schleswig-Holstein amateur class, which was called the regional league until 2008 and since then the association league . Only in the 2011/12 season did the club play in the Neumünster district league, the third highest amateur class at the time.

As champions of the Association League South-West, TSV Wankendorf rose in 2017 to the Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein , the highest Schleswig-Holstein amateur class. With only four points, the club rose again immediately from bottom of the table at the end of the 2017/18 season .

This was followed by the 2018/19 season in the Landesliga Holstein , from which TSV Wankendorf again relegated bottom of the table. For the 2019/20 season, the club entered into a football match with TSV Quellenhaupt Bornhöved and SV Schmalensee, which competed in the Association League East under the name FSG Saxonia in the 2019/20 season.
