history

For a long time TV3 had better ratings than the private broadcaster Kanal 2 . However, this did not stay that way when he fundamentally changed his program in 2006. Many shows had problems getting enough viewers. In the same year, the then director of the station, Jüri Pihel, left TV3.

In 2009, all Baltic TV3 programs changed their logo. The news program Seitsmesed uudised (news at 7) was discontinued and the new program TV3 uudised (TV3 news), which had the same format as the Latvian and Lithuanian news programs.

In January 2011, the Finnish journalist and producer Mikko Silvennoinen was appointed the new director of TV3. In the following February the format of the news programs was changed again, so that Seitsmesed uudised was broadcast again.
