TV Hannover-Badenstedt is the name of the handball division of TV Badenstedt von 1891 e. V. This club and Badenstedter SC belonged to the parent clubs of the handball community HSG Hannover-Badenstedt from May 8, 1988 to June 30, 2018 .
After the 2017/18 season , HSG Hannover-Badenstedt withdrew from the 2nd handball Bundesliga. Then the TV Hannover-Badenstedt started the season 2018/19 and 2019/20 in the 3rd League North and achieved the relay victory in each case. In both cases, the club refrained from participating in the relegation games to the 2nd Bundesliga for economic reasons.
In the 2020/21 season, the club will be part of the third division north west. The female A-youth belongs to the 40-team starter field of the youth league .
