TV Steffisburg
The TV Steffisburg (abbreviated TVS ) is a handball club based in Steffisburg and is a member of the Swiss handball association and has several men's and junior teams.
The handball department
In 1935 handball was played for the first time in the gymnastics club. In 1959 TV Steffisburg played the first Thun indoor handball championship in the second division. From 1997/98 to 2004/05 Steffisburg played in the second highest league in Switzerland, then for two years in the first division. In the 2007/08 to 2011/12 season you could play in the NLB again. After that they played third-rate until the 2013/2014 season. In the promotion round of the 2013/14 season, TV Steffisburg reached the second promotion place before TV Birsfelden. The club has been playing in the NLB again since the 2014/15 season.
