The HS Biel is a handball club from Biel in Switzerland .
The club was created in 1985 through the merger of HC Gym Biel and HBC Biel , which used to play in the top league. In 2002 the women's handball club HWG Biel was integrated into the HS Biel.
The HS Biel today has around 260 members, making it one of the largest associations in the Biel- Seeland region . Nine teams contest championships, three of them in interregional leagues.
The first men's team has played in the National League B , the second highest Swiss division , since the 2017/18 season . In the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons, promotion from National League B to National League A was narrowly missed. In 2012/13 the team had to relegate to the first division.
