Taşçı even Bakırdağ , is a village in the county Develi the Turkish province of Kayseri . It is located about 35 kilometers southeast of the county town of Develi and 65 kilometers southeast of Kayseri . In 2011 the place had 246 inhabitants.

Taşçı is located in the valley of the Zamantı Irmağı River, which flows into the Seyhan about 15 kilometers west . The confluence of the Şamaz Dere, also called Homur Suyu, is located in the village. The latter has its source on Bakırdağ, which is 15 kilometers to the south and 2721 meters high, from which the village takes its popular name. It belongs to the western part of the Tahtalı Dağları , which in turn belong to the Taurus Mountains .

At a narrow point of the Şamaz Dere, about two kilometers south of Taşçı, the two Hittite rock reliefs of Taşçı are on the eastern bank .
