Taşkın Çalış (born July 25, 1993 in Wetzlar ) is a German-Turkish soccer player .
Career
society
Taşkın Çalış was born as the son of Turkish guest workers in Wetzlar , but grew up in Bonn . Here he began playing football in the youth teams of various local clubs and switched from Bonner SC to the youth team at Alemannia Aachen after scouts noticed him . From here he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's youth department in 2009 . He played there for two years.
For the 2011/12 season, the Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor signed him for a transfer fee of € 500,000. He was mostly active for the reserve team and only completed one Süper Lig game for the professional team . In the course of the 2012/13 season, he fought for a regular place and completed 20 league games by the end of the season.
In spring 2014 Çalış moved to the first division side Bursaspor . He made his debut on February 9, 2014 against Medical Park Antalyaspor .
After only four appearances in the Süper Lig and six months at Bursaspor, he moved to Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer of 2014 and signed a contract until June 2016. At the end of March 2015, after mutual agreement with the club management, he terminated his contract and left the club prematurely. In the summer of 2015 he then joined the Turkish third division club Gümüşhanespor . A season later he moved to the second division club Yeni Malatyaspor . Here he completed the pre-season preparation program and was then loaned to his previous club Gümüşhanespor on the last day of the summer transfer period.
Çalış has been playing for Menemen Belediyespor since summer 2017 . First on loan, since July 2018 he has been signed by the club.
National team
Taşkın Çalış started playing for the Turkish junior national teams early on. Over the years he went through the Turkish U-17 , U-18, U-19 and U-20 junior national teams . He currently plays for the Turkish U-20 and U-21 national teams .
As part of the U-20 World Cup in 2013 , he was appointed to the tournament squad of the Turkish U-20 national team.
