Tadeusz Friedrich (born July 7, 1903 in Nowy Sącz , † October 10, 1976 in Krakow ) was a Polish saber fencer .
Career
Tadeusz Friedrich won bronze with the team at the world championships in Liège in 1930 and in Warsaw in 1934 . He took part in the Olympic Games twice. In 1928 he reached the final round with the Polish team in Amsterdam , which he finished in third place behind Italy and Hungary . Together with Kazimierz Laskowski , Aleksander Małecki , Adam Papée , Władysław Segda and Jerzy Zabielski , he received the bronze medal. BothAt the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , he and the team made it into the final round again, in which Poland again finished third behind Italy and Hungary. In addition to Friedrich, Władysław Dobrowolski , Leszek Lubicz , Adam Papée, Władysław Segda and Marian Suski won bronze. Friedrich was Polish champion nine times.
He was married to the Olympic athlete Felicja Schabińska , with whom he had two daughters. Friedrich took part in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 and worked as a fencing trainer after his active career.
