Jerzy Feliks Zabielski (born March 28, 1897 in Warsaw , † November 19, 1958 there ) was a Polish sword fencer .
Life
Jerzy Zabielski took part in two Olympic Games . In 1924 he retired with the Saber team in the preliminary round, while in 1928 he reached the final round in Amsterdam with the Polish team, which he finished in third place behind Italy and Hungary . Together with Kazimierz Laskowski , Aleksander Małecki , Tadeusz Friedrich , Władysław Segda and Adam Papée , he received the bronze medal.
He fought in the Polish-Soviet War and then studied at the Jagiellonian University . In 1935 he was promoted to captain . During the Second World War , Zabielski fought in the Polish army during the invasion of Poland and later joined the Polish armed forces in the west . After the war he initially stayed in the United Kingdom and did not return to Poland until 1958, where he died that same year.
