Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu (* 1953 in Nicosia ) is a Turkish Cypriot politician and Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus .

After studying political science , which took him to 1981 a. a. also led to the USA, Ertuğruloğlu entered the service of the Turkish Cypriot Foreign Ministry. Between 1986 and 1991 he was the representative of his internationally not recognized country in London . Ertuğruloğlu was a member of the National Unity Party (UBP). For this party he sat from 1998 in the parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Before that, he was State Secretary in the office of Prime Minister of Derviş Eroğlu . Between 1998 and 2004, Ertuğruloğlu served as Foreign and Defense Minister. After he unsuccessfully ran against General Secretary Hüseyin Özgürgün in February 2006 to become UBP party leader, he was elected chairman of his party in December 2006. On November 29, 2008, however, he lost to his predecessor and former Prime Minister of Cyprus, Derviş Eroğlu, at the UBP party conference. On March 12, 2010, Ertugruloglu announced that he was running alongside UBP boss Eroglu for the office of Turkish Cypriot president. After the candidacy was submitted, Ertugruloglu was excluded from the UBP. Until 2011 he was an independent member of the Turkish Cypriot National Assembly. In July 2011, Ertuğruloğlu founded the Party for Democracy and Trust (Demokrasi ve Güven Partisi; DGP), of which he became chairman. He was the only member of the DGP in the Cypriot Turkish Parliament. At the end of December 2012, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu dissolved the DGP after a decision by the bodies and rejoined the National Unity Party UBP. In the parliamentary elections on July 28, 2013, he was re-elected as MP. In the Kalyoncu cabinet on July 15, 2015, he was Minister of Communications and Infrastructure. He became Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Özgürgün cabinet . In the parliamentary elections on January 7, 2018, Ertuğruloğlu lost his seat in parliament and left the government.

Ertuğruloğlu is married and has two daughters.
